How CFOs Build a Goldilocks “Just-Right” Budget

Instructor: Jeff Epstein

Building budgets does not have to be a philosophical discussion about aspirational targets or confidence-boosting "beat and raise" scenarios. It should also not be a negotiation about bonus targets or an exercise in finger-pointing in case of underperformance.

The key to a successful budget is thinking in probabilities.

How do these courses differ from other virtual OG offerings?

  • OG Connect - Monthly opt-in match-making to connect 1:1 with another OG Member

  • OG Live: Q&A Forum - Post & reply forum, searchable archive.

  • OG Sessions: Huddles/Roundtables - Informal, unstructured open discussions around a “current” topic of interest - usually one-off, reactive to demand (e.g. I want to be a COO or GM, Job Search Group).

  • OG Master Class - Formal, structured core skills and teachings led by operator-experts; content led by experts.  Classes are created with intention, build on one another and are deemed to be “timeless” fundamentals (e.g. What is RevOps? Fundraising at Seed Stage)
